Having finished 3rd in-class at the 2022 Hankook 24H DUBAI, the DUWO Racing by Herberth Motorsport Porsche 991 GT3 R has now been re-produced as a 1:43-scale diecast model in a limited edition run.

A limited edition 1:43 diecast model of the DUWO Racing Porsche 991.2 GT3 that competed at the 2022 Hankook 24H DUBAI is now available for pre-order at Lux-Miniatures.

Two-time CUP1 Teams’ champion DUWO Racing made its first start in the 24H SERIES’ GT3 category at the 2022 season opener in Dubai, doing so with support from inaugural Overall GT Teams’ ‘Continents’ champion, Herberth Motorsport. After a race truncated with only minor delays, the #93 DUWO Racing by Herberth Motorsport entry finished 12th overall and 3rd in-class, just one lap down behind GT33-PRO/AM class winner MP Motorsport.

The result marked the Luxembourg team’s seventh category podium at the Hankook 24H DUBAI, including its A4 class win in 2011. Andrey Mukovoz, Sergey Peregudov and Stanislav Sidoruk were joined in the #93 entry by 2022 Porsche Supercup champion, and DUWO staple, Dylan Pereira.

In celebration of the 2022 podium, a limited edition run of 1:43-scale replicas of the Porsche have been produced by diecast specialist Spark Models, and are now available via Lux-Miniatures from €79.99 onwards (Luxembourg model car dealer Xavier Willems is cited as a key proponent behind the project). Of those 200 numbered examples, 50 ‘Signature Edition’ examples have been signed by Dylan Pereira, and are available from €89.99, minus postage and packaging.

Identical to the full-size DUWO Racing Porsche, including sponsor decals from rennhotel, Porsche Zenter Lëtzebuerg, and Bilstein, as well as the Luxembourg colours across the roof. The only change from the pre-production design is that the original gold wheels have now been replaced with black alternatives, mirroring the race car. Further details on the 1:43 model include the brake callipers, roof-mounted antennae, and even driver safety nets in the cockpit.

Based in Elvange/Mondorf, DUWO Racing has been involved in national and international motor racing since 1990, with focus on touring and saloon car racing with Ford and BMW. At the 2008 24H DUBAI, the Luxembourg team made its debut in the 24H SERIES powered by Hankook with team founder Jean-Marie Dumont at the wheel of the BMW ‘E46’ M3, and has missed only one edition – 2009 – since then. Having switched from ‘A5’ competition to a BMW M235i Racing for 2016, DUWO Racing went on to secure CUP1 Teams’ honours in 2016 and 2017 – including class wins at Barcelona (twice) and Circuit Paul Ricard – before switching to the 991 category with its then-new Porsche 911-II Cup.

DUWO went on to take 991 Teams’ ‘Continents’ championship honours that year, its most memorable race being its runners-up spot at the 2020 Hankook 12H HOCKENHEIMRING, with only an exhaust issue denying Mukovoz, Peregudov and Sidoruk victory over fellow series staple, Bas Koeten Racing.

Following its outing at Dubai Autodrome in 2022, DUWO went on to compete at last year’s Hankook 24H BARCELONA and the 2023 Hankook 24H DUBAI in two collaborative ‘992-AM’ entries with SebLajoux Racing.
