Gennep, Netherlands (25 November 2025):

With under a fortnight to go until the first race of the 2025/2026 Michelin 24H SERIES Middle East Trophy, the brand new Michelin 12H MALAYSIA at Sepang International Circuit, organisers Creventic have confirmed an expected grid of 21 cars – with some absolute star names ready to do battle.

The entry for round one of the championship, the maiden visit to the Far East for a Creventic series, features a line-up in the headline GT3 class in double figures – headed by Malaysia’s very own Viper Niza Racing, based in Shah Alam, with its familiar Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO. The homegrown trio of Douglas Khoo, Melvin Moh and Dominic Ang will be sharing the No.65 car.

Four other teams from the region are also set to battle in GT3, with the Hong Kong-based Absolute Racing squad fielding a brace of Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) cars, one of them running with the B-Quik Absolute Racing banner.

In the No.26 B-Quik car will be Dutchman Henk Kiks, Andy Deng from China and Alessandro Ghiretti of France. Driving the sister Absolute Racing Porsche will be Hong Kong’s Antares Au, Dutch racer and reigning Middle East Trophy Drivers’ Champion Loek Hartog and fellow GT3 star, Switzerland’s Patric Niederhauser.

Chinese team Origine has also entered a Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) with an all-Chinese driver line-up, comprising Liu Hangcheng, Lu Wei, Bo Yuan and Leo Ye Hongli. Compatriot outfit Climax Racing will run a Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO for Chinese duo Mike Zhou and Li Lichao, who will be partnered by Finnish driver Elias Seppänen and Thai driver Tanart Sathienthirakul.

From Japan, the LM Corsa squad will field the sole Ferrari 296 GT3 in the Michelin 12H MALAYSIA entry. Japanese pairing Kei Nakanishi and Shigekazu Wakisaka will be partnered in the No.60 car by Germany’s Dominik Schwager.

Indy 500 winner and former F1 driver Marcus Ericsson will make his GT3 debut, and also compete with his brother Hampus – victor in the 2025 Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Finals – for the first time. The siblings will be joined by fellow Swedes Axel Bengtsson and Thomas Karlsson in Leipert Motorsport’s Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2.

Renowned German squad Herberth Motorsport will mount a challenge for victory with its Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) in the hands of familiar quartet Ralf Bohn, Constantin Dressler and twin brothers, owners of Herberth, Alfred and Robert Renauer.

Audi will be represented by United Arab Emirates-based Continental Racing by Simpson Motorsport, with its trusty Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II piloted by Vasily Vladykin, Alexander Bukhantsov, Damian Ciosek and James Winslow – the latter a multiple champion in GT racing and single-seaters.

There will also be a third Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO on the grid, the No.93 car fielded by Ajith Red Ant Racing. Running under an Indian entry, the car will be raced by Tamil actor Ajith Kumar, Belgian brothers Ayrton and Yannick Redant and compatriot Kobe de Breucker.

There are five Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) cars which will battle in the 992 class, with Hong Kong’s Modena Motorsports challenging with Dutchman Francis Tjia, Denmark’s Benny Simonsen and Canadian duo John Shen and Christian Chia. China’s 610 Racing will field the all-Chinese quintet of Cao QiKuan, Zhang Yaqi, Lu Zhiwei, Li Lin and Yang Haojie in its Porsche.

Experienced Michelin 24H SERIES regulars Red Camel-Jordans.nl and Mühlner Motorsport will be on the grid, the latter fielding two cars in the class. Dutch squad Red Camel will be represented by racing brothers Luc and Rik Breukers along with their father Ivo.

Mühlner’s No.921 car has Valters Zviedris joined by Eric Kwong, Jiatong Liang and Bayley Hall. One of the drivers for the Belgian team's No.918 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) has been confirmed as Paul Meijer, with the remainder of the line up still to be announced.

Germany’s Team Sorg Rennsport will challenge on two fronts, in both the GT4 and TCE-TCX classes, entering a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport (982) in the former and a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS (982) in the latter. Only the squad’s GT4 line-up has been confirmed thus far, which features Ivan Stanchin, Ivan Krapivtsev and Benito Tagle.

Also running in GT4 will be German team Cerny Motorsport, with its BMW M4 GT4 (G82) piloted by American drivers Alec Udell and Spencer Propper alongside Australian pair Damien John Hamilton and Bryce Fullwood.

In the TCE-TCX class, German team asBest Racing – reigning class champions of the Middle East Trophy – has entered its Cupra TCR DSG for Germany’s Lutz Obermann and Pia Ohlsson and Japan’s Junichi Umemoto. The team will also be running a SEAT Leon Cup Racer, but the driver line-up remains unconfirmed.

Last, but certainly not least, Michelin 24H SERIES regulars Vortex V8 will race in GTX with one of its potent Vortex 2.0 cars. French trio Lionel Amrouche, Philippe Bonnel and Victor Moutinho will pilot the entry.

Renowned as one of the world’s premier race tracks, Sepang International Circuit will provide an incredible spectacle for round one of the Michelin 24H SERIES Middle East Trophy. At a length of 5.5-kilometres, with 15 turns, the famous venue always provides great racing – with some significant overtaking opportunities – and a superb start to the Middle East Trophy is guaranteed.

Following two CR Track Days on Wednesday, 3 December, and Thursday, 4 December, qualifying for the Michelin 12H MALAYSIA will begin at 16.00 local time on Friday, 5 December, with all classes running together across the three sessions. There will also be a night practice session.

On Saturday, 6 December, racing will get underway at 10.00 local time with all of the action, including qualifying, to be screened live online at Creventic Motorsports TV on YouTube. Links for streaming and live timing will be available at www.24hseries.com
