Kuwait 2022 magazine now available for download

News | November 28, 2022

Our magazine for the Hankook 12H KUWAIT is now available for digital download. This month, Kuwait Motor Town general manager Mohammad Al-AbdalRazzaq discusses the planning and preparation required for the circuit’s first-ever international motorsport event, we take a close look at the latest ‘EVO2’ generation Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo with GTX title contender RD Signs – Siauliai Racing Team, and we take a retrospective look at the 2022 24H SERIES season thus far.

All that and more in this month’s magazine.

Welcome everybody, to both the end of our 2022 season, and, hopefully, the start of a brand-new adventure.

Everyone at CREVENTIC is very excited to sign off the 24H SERIES powered by Hankook in 2022 at the newest racing facility we’ve ever visited: Kuwait Motor Town. Celebrating its maiden season just three years ago, KMT, as we discussed recently with circuit manager Mohammad Al-AbdalRazzaq aims to put the state on motorsport’s global map while simultaneously providing an arena for burgeoning Kuwaiti talent and motor racing aficionados alike, doing so with a litany of course layouts – on and off-road – and an insatiable enthusiasm for all things ‘racing.’ What better way to get this long-term goal underway than with its first internationally-organized motorsport event, and CREVENTIC is truly privileged to bring the 24H SERIES to Kuwait for the very first time.

Indeed, the inaugural Hankook 12H KUWAIT feels a fitting way to sign off, what has been, a stirring season of endurance racing, which thus far has celebrated three new outright winners in the GT division, unbelievably close title fights across multiple categories, and some truly awesome on-track at across six different venues across two continents. Before this weekend’s green flag drops, get yourselves back up to speed with our extensive review of the 2022 season, thus far.

This weekend, our Championship of the Continents also draws to its conclusion, 11 months after the opening round in Dubai. Not only are the overall and category championships at stake, but, as we outline HERE, so too are a number of other potential series records. Moreover, as well as celebrating the end of our ‘Continental’ title chase, this weekend’s Hankook 12H KUWAIT also ushers in CREVENTIC’s first-ever Middle East Trophy, a three-round national championship – including this opening ‘fly-away’ race – that’s set to run across the next two months. All the more reason to join us for the 2023 Hankook 24H DUBAI. Well, that and a few other incentives we can think of…

Alongside our 2022 season coverage, this month we also take an in-depth look at the new ‘EVO2’ update of the Lamborghini Hurácan courtesy of GTX title contender RD Signs and go ‘Head-to-Head’ with our newly-crowned GTX Drivers’ European champions, Kerong Li and Jean-Francois Brunot. Plus, in his ever-popular monthly column, Joe Bradley, inspired by the first-ever Hankook 12H KUWAIT, takes a look back at some of motorsport’s other notable firsts. All that and more in this month’s issue.

As we prepare for one last endurance epic in 2022, we want to wish a special thank you to all of our competitors, all of our partners and sponsors, and all of our fans – both in the paddock and around the world – for their continued support during another successful season. We’d also like to thank the Kuwait Motor Town management team for their help in preparation for this event, as well as everyone in race control and the marshal posts around the circuit for their tireless efforts this weekend. Stay safe, and we’ll see you all again in 2023!
