Five manufacturers set to be represented at the 2019 TCR SPA 500

Teams from across Europe, Asia and the Middle East continue to show their interest in the upcoming TCR SPA 500, with five brands already confirmed for the 500-lap / 23-hour endurance epic on 4-5-6 October.

Bas Koeten Racing joins fellow high profile names like former Spa 24 Hours winner Team WRT and British Touring Car Championship staple Team Dynamics on the TCR SPA 500 entry list. The Dutch endurance racing stalwart will field three TCR entries – one Audi and two CUPRAs – one of which on behalf of long-time affiliate, NKPP Racing.

“We started with NKPP 10 years ago, participating in a five-hour race in a diesel Volkswagen Golf, and last year, we won the Hankook 12H SPA in a CUPRA TCR. So we have a lot of special memories at Spa-Francorchamps!” explained NKPP Racing driver, Gijs Bessem. “This event has all the ingredients to become an epic. How much fun will it be to compete with all those different brands in the Ardennes?”

Fellow 24H SERIES staples Holmgaard Motorsport and Lestrup Racing Team have each confirmed a Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR for the event, while TCR Europe regulars DG Sport Compétition will run a Peugeot 308 TCR. Vmax-Enginering meanwhile has registered the only Opel Astra TCR so far for former 24H GT SERIES champions Charles Putman and Charles Espenlaub.
