News | February 13, 2023

Available now for digital download, CREVENTIC’s Season Overview breaks down the championship winners, race analytics, media distribution, and more, for the 24H SERIES in 2022.

In many ways, 2022 proved a memorable year for the 24H SERIES powered by Hankook. Phoenix Racing and series staple CP Racing secured their first outright 24H SERIES championships in the European GT Trophy and Continents GT Trophy respectively. Adding further to the celebrations, and in a nod to last year’s closely fought championship, 2022 also marked the first time in series history that FOUR different GT teams secured their first outright wins during a single season. These included Phoenix Racing – who won the 2021 Hankook 24H SEBRING as ‘Rutronik Racing’ – taking back-to-back honours at Spa-Francorchamps and the Hockenheimring, CP Racing’s victories in Portimão and Kuwait, and 2021 Overall GT Teams’ champion ST Racing and series returnee WTM Racing successes at Mugello and Barcelona respectively.

Across in the TCE division meanwhile, BBR achieved an unprecedented level of success for Thailand in the 24H SERIES, with Kusiri brothers Kantasak and Kantadhee being crowned Overall TCE Drivers’ champions, while ‘Billionaire Boys Racing’ itself won six times from seven outings to take Overall TCE Teams’ honours in both the European and the Continental standings.

2022 similarly proved a memorable year for Dutch promoter CREVENTIC too. The 24H SERIES’ inaugural visit to the Kuwait Motor Town was the first international event to ever be held at the State’s first FIA-graded motorsport venue. The Hankook 24H DUBAI was hosted for the 17th time in 2022, with MS7 by WRT emerging victorious from a field featuring 81 cars and 352 drivers, the latter of which represented a remarkable 38 different nationalities. So hyped was CREVENTIC’s biggest race of the year, live coverage was transmitted to 148 different countries across 44 different broadcast platforms.

On top of ever-increasing fan engagement, CREVENTIC also celebrated new and re-strengthened relationships with many of its staunchest supporters and partners. These include Hankook Tires, supplier of competition-focused rubber to the Dutch promoter since 2014; 0221, service provider of CREVENTIC’s live broadcasts since 2012; the inimitable radiolemans.com, which has provided live commentary and analysis of every 24H SERIES championship event since in 2012; Share Logistics, whose transportation experience and expertise get both cars and equipment to every CREVENTIC event; Speedcom, the first word in driver-team and scrutineering communication in the 24H SERIES since 2008; Trees for the Future, through which at least 170,000 trees have been donated every year since 2019 in a bid to offset motor racing’s carbon emissions; and new partner W Racing Project, which provided hospitality suites for team personnel and paddock pass holders across the European season.

These are just some of the highlights you can check out in our 2022 Season Overview, available for download in the link above.
