Atlas BX Motorsport completed a strong first full season in the 24H SERIES with its fourth event win of the year in Barcelona, securing both the overall GT European Trophy and the GT4 Teams’ championship in the process. Minus the obligatory ‘scratch result,’ the South Korean team amassed 200 points to secure both titles.

Having competed together at each of CREVENTIC’s European rounds in 2023, Atlas BX teammates Steven Cho, Roelof Bruins and Jongkyum Kim dutifully took the GT4 Drivers’ championship, just 16 points clear of Taekeun Yang, who joined his compatriots on the top step at Monza, Estoril and Barcelona. 

In its first full season of motor racing, Haas RT secured the GT3 Teams’ championship in Catalunya with its Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II. Despite hiccups at Spa, Monza and Estoril, consistent points finishes, plus a maiden win in Mugello and a strong runners-up spot in Barcelona, meant the Antiguan team ended 2023 two points clear of newly-crowned GT3-Pro/Am Teams’ champion Scherer Sport PHX in the overall GT3 Teams’ standings. 

Scherer, which won the GT European Trophy in 2022 as ‘Phoenix Racing,’ propelled its way up the GT3 standings with an overall win at Monza, an overall podium in Estoril, and a top five finish in Barcelona. Last year’s GT3 Drivers’ champions Elia Erhart and Pierre Kaffer consequently took home gold for a second successive season, this time as the 24H SERIES’ new GT3-Pro/Am Drivers’ champions. 

Mathieu Detry meanwhile, who completed the full season with Haas RT, secured the GT3 Drivers’ crown two points clear of Erhart and Kaffer. This marks the Belgian driver’s best result in the 24H SERIES since finishing runner-up in TCE in 2021.

Across in GT3-Am, and despite propshaft failure bringing the team’s Hankook 24H BARCELONA to a premature end, reigning GT Continents Trophy winner CP Racing could at least celebrate a GT3-AM Teams’ title win, replicating similar results in 2022 and 2020. 2018 Overall GT Drivers’ champions Charles Putman and Charles Espenlaub, and compatriot Shane Lewis, were also awarded the GT3-Am drivers’ titles. An overall podium finish in Monza even helped propel the American team up to third overall in the GT3 Teams’ rankings. 

In grandstand fashion, Willi Motorsport by Ebimotors and 2022 992 Teams’ ‘Europe’ champion Red Ant Racing finished CREVENTIC’s European season level-pegging on 180 points apiece. The pair were eventually split only by Willi Motorsport’s two category wins in Mugello and Estoril, one more than Red Ant’s home victory at Spa-Francorchamps. 

The title chase was equally as close in the 992 Drivers’ rankings, with Sergiu Nicolae and Sabino de Castro finishing equal on points with Yannick Redant, the Willi Motorsport by Ebimotors teammates once again taking the title on countback. This marks the second European class title in three seasons for Nicolae, de Castro and the Romanian-Italian team, the collective having taken 991 Drivers’ and Teams’ honours in 2021.  

Though he narrowly missing securing the 992 Drivers’ crown, Yannick Redant was still able to celebrate a second GT Junior Cup win in as many years at Barcelona, the Belgian having pipped Buggyra ZM Racing’s Aliyyah Koloc by just two points. Koloc meanwhile, who finished a successful first European season in the 24H SERIES with five consecutive event podiums – including a GT4 win in Spa – took a well-deserved maiden win in the GT Ladies Cup rankings. Across in TCE, last year’s TCR Drivers’ runner-up Jasmin Preisig took a fourth consecutive TCE Ladies Cup victory.

Having already secured the 992-AM Teams’ title in Estoril, and 992-AM Drivers’ honours simultaneously for Tracy Krohn, Niclas Jönsson and Philip Hamprecht, RPM Racing rubberstamped a triumphant season in the 24H SERIES by taking its third class win of the year in Barcelona. Impressively, the German team’s 192 points total vaulted the #907 Porsche 992 GT3 Cup to the overall runners-up spot in the GT European Trophy rankings, just eight points behind new champion Atlas BX Motorsport and only four points ahead of GT3-Pro/Am winner Scherer Sport PHX.

RD Signs – Siauliai racing team was able to put a tough Hankook 24H BARCELONA weekend behind it with victory in the GTX Teams’ standings, the Lithuanian outfit securing its first series title thanks to class wins for the #720 Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo in Monza and Estoril. In the GTX Drivers’ standings, long-time teammates Nicola Michelon, Audrius Butkevicius and Paulius Paskevicius emerged victorious. In a surprisingly close contest, RD Signs finished just two points clear of 2021 GTX Teams’ champion Vortex V8. 

Although driveshaft failure prevented the Danish team from taking a third category win of the season, a runners-up spot in Barcelona was nevertheless enough to secure Holmgaard Motorsport both the TCE European Trophy and its first TCR Teams’ title in the 24H SERIES. Fittingly, brothers – and 2019 TCE Junior Cup winners – Magnus and Jonas Holmgaard took TCR Drivers’ honours alongside Roy Edland.

Finally, 2018 Overall TCE Teams’ champion, and 2019 GT4 Teams’ champion, Hofor Racing by Bonk Motorsport ended a successful return to GT4 in Barcelona with 2nd in-class for its new, second generation BMW M4. The German team’s class wins in Mugello and Spa-Francorchamps with its BMW M2 CS Racing were enough to secure this year’s TC Teams’ title. Team namesakes Michael Bonk and Martin Kroll meanwhile successfully defended their TC Drivers’ crowns, the latter adding another accolade to the CUP1 Drivers’ title he won in 2019 and the Overall TCE Driver’ championship he secured in 2018.
