Car Collection Motorsport has revealed the bespoke liveries and driver line-ups for both of its entries for this weekend’s Hankook 6H ABU DHABI.

The German team, which won the inaugural Hankook 6H ABU DHABI outright in 2021, will enter its new Porsche 992 GT3 R with “the characteristic Car Collection design” with Dustin Blattner,  Loek Hartog, and Dennis Marschall at the helm, while the sister Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II, entered in collaboration with Goroyan RT, will be driven by Armenian teammates Artur Goroyan and Roman Mavlanov, and Audi factory driver Markus Winkelhock.

Significantly, while the USA’s Blattner, the Netherland’s Hartog and Germany’s Marschall will make their respective 24H SERIES debuts in Abu Dhabi, Goroyan and Mavlanov are already former class winners at the event, the pair having taken TCR victory last year, on debut, with Sharky-Racing. Hankook 24H DUBAI podium finisher (in 2020) Winkelhock is also an event alumnus, having competed at the inaugural event in 2021 with Attempto Racing.

Car Collection Motorsport is also set to compete at the Hankook 24H DUBAI with both the Porsche on 26-27-28 December.

Though Car Collection Motorsport refrained from voicing expectations in its official release, the German team, and outright Hankook 24H DUBAI winner in 2019, could be considered among the GT3 frontrunners at the Yas Marina Circuit this weekend. Given its win in 2021 (also with an Audi R8, Car Collection could by become the first team to win the Hankook 6H ABU DHABI outright more than once this weekend. The team’s new Porsche 992 GT3 R meanwhile finished an untroubled 5th on its endurance racing debut at last year’s Hankook 24H BARCELONA and will be looking to keep that momentum going.

The team will compete as part of a 13-strong GT3 field in Abu Dhabi this weekend, alongside 24 SERIES Middle East Trophy leaders CP Racing, Manamauri Energy by Ebimotors and Century Motorsport, Earl Bamber Motorsport-supported Grove Racing with its new Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, Race Lab’s McLaren 720S GT3 Evo, and last year’s overall podium finishers, Herberth Motorsport and Haas RT.
