GENNEP (30 September, 2024) – CREVENTIC celebrated the coronation of its new champions in the 24H SERIES at a special prize-giving in Barcelona.

Less than an hour after the chequered flag dropped for the 25th edition of the Hankook 24H BARCELONA, new and defending teams’ and drivers’ champions alike received their trophies in a bespoke prize-giving, officiated by members of the CREVENTIC team, in the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya paddock.

The ceremony officially brought the curtain down on the 24H SERIES powered by Hankook in 2024, a season that included five European rounds across Italy, Belgium, Portugal and Spain, two Middle East events in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and close to 120 hours of official on-track action.

GT3, GT3-PRO/AM and GT3-AM

Herberth Motorsport took its second outright win of the season, and its first for the #91 Porsche 992 GT3 R, at the Hankook 24H BARCELONA. In doing so, the 2017 Overall GT Teams’ champion secured both the overall GT3 Teams’ and the GT3-AM Teams’ titles, adding to the trophies the Bavarian team also collected in 2019, 2020 and 2021.

2017 Overall GT Drivers’ ‘Continents’ champion Ralf Bohn, Jason Hart and Scott Noble simultaneously secured the overall GT3 Drivers’ and GT3-AM Drivers’ titles, the latter pair at the end of their first full GT3 campaign with CREVENTIC. Bohn meanwhile secures his first 24H SERIES championship since 2017.

Robert Renauer, Herberth Motorsport: “We are extremely proud of the entire team. The season was challenging, but the squad worked hard and made very few mistakes. In the end, we were rewarded with titles in the Drivers' and Teams’ standings. The fact that we were able to crown this successful season with victory in Barcelona was a particularly good feeling.

“This win at the last round really emphasised the steep learning curve of our drivers, especially Scott [Noble] and Jason [Hart]. They have improved with every race, and together with Ralf [Bohn], they have formed a strong trio. All they really deserve the drivers' title this season.”

Falling just 20 points short of overall GT3 honours, the Saintéloc Junior Team, which took overall victory in Misano, recorded its first 24H SERIES championship with the GT3-PRO/AM Teams’ title ahead of Spain’s E2P Racing (#90). The latter also finished 3rd in the overall GT3 Teams’ standings in its sophomore GT3 campaign.

2022 GT3 Drivers’ champions Michael Doppelmayr, Pierre Kaffer and Elia Erhart took their latest gold in the 24H SERIES by securing GT3-PRO/AM Drivers’ honours ahead of E2P’s Pablo Burguera, Antonio Sainero and Alvaro Parente.

Juta Racing (#71) and Arunas Geciauskas meanwhile round out the top three in the GT3-PRO/AM Teams’ and Drivers’ standings respectively, and 2017 Overall GT Teams’ ‘Europe’ champion Hofor Racing (#11) and Land Motorsport (#34) complete the GT3-AM Teams’ ranking.

2017 Overall GT Drivers’ champion Chantal Prinz, who finished as the GT3-AM Drivers’ runner-up alongside her husband Alexander, Maximilian Partl and Kenneth Heyer (team owner Michael Kroll, having missed Misano, slips to 3rd in the ranking) – wins the GT3 class Ladies Cup.

992 and 992-AM

Red Ant Racing (#903) recorded its second 992 Teams’ title after a commanding 2024 season. The Belgian team, which also took 992 Teams’ ‘Europe’ honours in 2022, took four class wins from five outings, a run that also secured brothers Ayrton and Yannick Redant their second 992 Drivers’ titles in the 24H SERIES.

Red Ant Racing teammate Kobe de Breucker, who contested every 24H SERIES race bar Spa-Francorchamps, takes the 992 Drivers’ runner-up spot ahead of the Orchid Racing Teams’ Laurent Misbach.

Ayrton Redant, Red Ant Racing: “We had almost a perfect season. We just missed out on the win in Dubai and Misano, so there’s always room for improvement! But we’re mega happy to have our second title in the bag. Now the hunt for a budget begins so we can defend our championships next season.”

RPM Racing (#907) finished second to Red Ant Racing in the overall 992 standings – just ahead of the Belgian team’s sister entry (#904) – and in doing so, collected a second consecutive 992-AM Teams’ title. Reigning 992-AM Drivers’ Tracy Krohn, Niclas Jönsson and Philip Hamprecht successfully defended their 992-AM Drivers’ titles.

Tracy Krohn, RPM Racing: “2024 was a magic year for RPM in partnership with Krohn Racing. After a disastrous crash at Misano due to a tyre issue, regular co-drivers Philip Hamprecht, Nic Jonsson, and Tracy Krohn, along with Patrick Huisman (added to the roster for 24-hour races during the year), were able to add another class championship for the second year in a row. Needless to say this was a hard fought campaign to recover from Misano and come back to win the championship moniker.

“Congratulations again to Lukas Moesgen, team manager, and the rest of the RPM crew for putting together a second consecutive championship effort.”

The Orchid Racing Team (#917) and series staple HRT Performance (#967) round out the 992-AM Teams’ top three in the standings. Orchid’s Antonio Garzon and Alexandre Motte finished 2nd and 3rd respectively in the category’s driver rankings.

GT4, TCE and GTX

Buggyra ZM Racing (#416) secured its first 24H SERIES GT4 Teams’ title one round early in Misano, its Mercedes-AMG GT4 having taken class wins at each of the first four rounds of the season. David Vršecký, Adam Lacko and Aliyyah Koloc took their first GT4 Drivers’ crowns, while Koloc also won the Ladies Cup in the GT4 class.

Martin Koloc, Buggyra ZM Racing: “I have no words to say how very proud I am of this team. Every single member – engineers, mechanics, drivers, the media team – has been working hand-in-hand over the season. For Misano, we were able to finish P7 overall, which is the result of all our hard work and the best GT result in the team’s history. We prepared well for that race and the high temperatures, and it paid off as we finally became class champions.

“The fact that we won the class championship with one race to go and, on top of that, got P7 overall in Misano really is an outstanding result that will be hard to repeat in the future.”

Buggyra’s season-long rival Lionspeed GP (#424) was the GT4 runner-up in its first season as a standalone entity, with team founders José Garcia and Patrick Kolb, alongside Dennis Bohn, also finishing 2nd in the GT4 Drivers’ standings (teammate Daniel Miller finished just behind them in 3rd). Lithuania’s GSR Motorsport (#405) rounds out the GT4 Teams’ top three.

CWS Engineering (#178) secured its latest class titles in the 24H SERIES with TCE Teams’ and TCX Teams’ honours. The British outfit, a former SP3 Teams’ and TCX Teams’ champion, helped Colin White and Daniel Morris take the TCE Drivers’ and TCX Drivers’ titles.

Finally, Vortex V8 finished 1-2 in the GTX Teams’ standings. In one of its most consistent 24H SERIES campaigns to-date, the French squad, which won its first GTX title in 2021, recorded a fourth class win of the season for the Vortex 2.0 (#701) at Barcelona. Gilles Courtois, Lionel Amrouche and Philippe Bonnel – the latter also the category champion of 2021 – wrapped up the GTX Drivers’ title ahead of teammate Lucas Sugliano.

Philippe Bonnel, Vortex V8: “One year ago, we launched our new Vortex 2.0, and one year later, we won the 2025 Hankook 24H BARCELONA in the GTX category and the 2025 championship. We couldn't have dreamed of a better way to end this first year!

“We would like to thank all our staff who have done a great development job on the track all this season, especially Arnaud and Olivier [Gomez, Vortex V8 team owners, and of course all our drivers of the Vortex team who trust us, and especially our champions, Gilles Courtois and Lionel Amrouche (and his daughter Solenn). We are already looking to 2025 and the first race in Dubai. The 24H SERIES remains one of the most popular championships for our drivers and we agree with their choice!”

Preparation has already begun for the start of the 2024/2025 24H SERIES Middle East Trophy, which will be organized by CREVENTIC for the third time. Following Track Days at the Dubai Autodrome on 17-18 December 2024, the 20th edition of the hallowed Michelin 24H DUBAI will be held on 10-11-12 January 2025, just one week before the fifth edition of the Michelin 6H ABU DHABI (17-18-19 January 2025).
