Gennep, Netherlands (4 April 2025):

Belgium’s Spa-Francorchamps will welcome the stars and cars of the Michelin 24H SERIES European Series just a fortnight from now, over Easter weekend 19/20 April, for the hotly anticipated round two of the 2025 campaign – the second 12-hour contest of the year.

As during the championship curtain-raiser, last month’s Michelin 12H MUGELLO, a fantastic total grid of close to 40 cars is expected and with as many as 11 marques represented across the main classes, GT3, 992, GTX, GT4 and TCE-TCX.

This year’s Michelin 12H SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS will see five hours of action contested on the Saturday, 19 April, with the concluding seven hours following on Sunday, 20 April. Always a true highlight of Creventic’s racing calendar, for drivers, teams and spectators, the trip to the Ardennes and one of world motorsport’s most legendary tracks is unsurprisingly a real crown jewel event.

Scuderia Praha, which won at Spa in both 2018 and 2019, is confirmed with its Ferrari 296 GT3 and there are four other Ferraris also on the provisional entry list. Kessell Racing, Pellin Racing and Era Motorsport are all set to compete with Ferrari 296 GT3 cars, while Pellin is also set to field its Ferrari 488 GT3 EVO.

Four Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II entries are expected with two cars fielded by HAAS RT, one from the Continental Racing by Simpson Motorsport squad and another from Juta Racing. As a point of note, Audi won the 2023 staging of the race. 

HOFOR Racing, Red Ant Racing and Viper Niza Racing will each field a Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO, the marque which won in the Ardennes last season, and there are also a pair of Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 EVO entries from E2P Racing and Comtoyou Racing.

We’re not done there in GT3 either, with Herberth Motorsport fielding a Porsche 911 GT3 R (992), as will the Proton Huber Competition team, and ARC Bratislava will run its trusty Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO.

More Porsches, nine Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) cars in fact, will compete in the 992 class with points leaders Red Camel-Jordans.nl heading the entry along with closest rivals from the Michelin 12H MUGELLO – in terms of pace – Mühlner Motorsport. 

RPM Racing and SebLajoux Racing, who completed the overall 992 podium in Italy last month, are confirmed along with Ajith Kumar Racing by Bas Koeten Racing, Van Berlo Motorsport by Bas Koeten Racing, Holmgaard Motorsport, 9und11 Racing and Escuderia Faraon.

Points leader of the GT4 class Venture will be aiming to continue its great start to the season with its Mercedes-AMG GT4 but challenges will come from SRS Team Sorg Rennsport, with its Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, CWS Engineering’s Ginetta G56 GT4 and the BMW M4 GT4 EVO (G82) fielded by Hamofa Motorsport.

GTX was largely dominated by the Vortex V8 team in Mugello, and the squad again brings its two Vortex 2.0 cars. The 111 Racing team, GTX Champions in this year’s Michelin 24H SERIES Middle East Trophy, will be keen to avenge some major misfortune from round one with its unique IRC GT car.

Also racing in the GTX class, on home ground of course, will be Belgian team Speed Lover with a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992). The car will be running with the NLS (Nurburgring Langstrecken-Series) kit, hence why this particular Porsche will be in GTX rather than the 992 class.

Additionally, there are four TCE-TCX entries on the provisional entry list for Spa-Francorchamps with asBest Racing scheduled to bring the Cupra TCR DSG, with which it won the class crown in the Middle East Trophy, as well as a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS (type 982).

J-Mec Engineering is set to make a welcome appearance for round two of the season with its BMW M3 E46 and also joining the action in the TCE-TCX class will be Zulltec Racing, entering the unique Zulltec ZR CZ4. 

The track action at Spa-Francorchamps will commence with a pair of Creventic Track Days on Wednesday, 16 April, and Thursday, 17 April – following the latter there will a parade of race cars into Malmedy city centre. 

Testing and practice will take place on Friday, 18 April, ahead of qualifying which will begin at 15.30 local time. All classes will run together in each of the three sessions. Part one of the Michelin 12H SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS, the first five hours, will start at 12.50 local time on Saturday, 19 April. Part two, the concluding seven hours, will begin at 10.50 local time on Sunday, 20 April.
