Gennep, Netherlands (11 September 2026):
One of endurance racing’s most coveted championship titles will be decided just over a week from now at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, venue for the final round of a breathtaking Michelin 24H SERIES European Series campaign – yes, it’s almost time for the Michelin 24H BARCELONA.

After thousands of kilometers of the highest standard of racing, at some of Europe’s most popular and spectacular tracks, everything once again comes down to the championship’s flagship 24-hour event which takes place on 18/19/20 September.

The 34-car entry is headed by GetSpeed Team JR286, the Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO squad which claimed victory last time out in the Michelin 12H NÜRBURGRING to open a 10-point lead at the top of the outright championship. Steve Jans, Adam Osieka, Jonathan Hirschberg, Tanner Harvey and Patrick Liddy are confirmed as a five-driver line-up in the GT3-AM class leading No.286 car.

Sainteloc Junior Team holds second in the overall title battle and its Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II will also feature a quintet of drivers with the trusted squad of Pierre Kaffer, Elia Erhart, Michael Doppelmayr, Ernst Inderbitzin and Stephane Tribaudini. 

Two further Mercedes-AMG entries are next up in the overall GT3 standings, and are split by just a couple of points. HOFOR Racing’s familiar husband and wife duo Alexander and Chantal Prinz will be joined by Chantal’s father Michael Kroll and rapid duo Torsten Kratz and Maximilian Partl.

GetSpeed Team PCX is fourth in the points table and, despite some incredible pace and performance during the year, the outfit is still searching for its first win of 2026. Benjamin Paque, Jordan Boisson, Patrick Charlaix, Cesar Gazeau and Maxime Martin will be looking to try and achieve that feat in the No.28 which presently leads the GT3 PRO-AM class standings.

The highest placed Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) EVO team is Proton Competition, fifth in the standings, and the reigning Michelin 24H SERIES European Series Champions will be aiming to challenge for a first outright win of the season with Manuel Lauck, Joel Sturm, Lucas Wolf and Jörg Dreisow.

Returning to Mercedes power, there are two more cars from the Stuttgart marque with the Viper Niza Racing entry featuring Dominic Ang, Melvin Moh, Douglas Khoo and Aaron Lim Say Joon. Ajith Red Ant Racing’s car will be shared by the familiar quartet of Tamil ‘Kollywood’ actor Ajith Kumar, Kobe de Breucker and brothers Ayrton and Yannick Redant.

Up2Race, which performed exceptionally on its MICHELIN 24H SERIES debut at the Nürburgring, is entered with its Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) EVO to be shared Tim Heinemann, Fabio Grosse, Alfred Renauer and Oleksiy Kikireshko.

Continental Racing by Simpson Motorsport and Juta Racing have entered their respective Audi R8s, with Vasily Vladykin, Paul Scheuschner, Hugo Cook and Miguel Maria Garcia driving the former. Juta has confirmed Gavin Pickering, Jiatong Liang and Nicola Michelon so far. 

Championship regulars Era Motorsport will be challenging with the No.81 Ferrari 296 GT3 EVO, piloted by Dwight Merriman, Oliver Bryant, Ryan Dalziel, Jake Hill and Kyle Tilley, with homegrown Spanish squad E2P Racing aiming for a big result with Pablo Burguera, Antonio Sainero, Oliver Campos and Henrique Chaves driving the team’s Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 EVO.

The entry for GT3 is completed by a pair of BMW M4 GT3 EVO cars. HAAS RT has so far named father and son duo Peter and Nicolas Guelinckx, while championship debutants Gamota Racing will field Antal Zsigo, David Jahn, Moritz Kranz, Felipe Fernandez Laser and Jesse Krohn.

Carrying incredible momentum in the 992 class, which is contested solely by Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992 I) cars, is the Red Camel-Jordans.nl team of brothers Luc and Rik Breukers, their father Ivo and Fabian Danz. Not only did the squad take back-to-back 992 wins in the Michelin 12H PAUL RICARD and Michelin 12H NÜRBURGRING, the team also won last weekend’s Michelin 992 Endurance Cup.

Mühlner Motorsport are the closest challengers, 24 points shy at the top of the table, and the winners of Michelin 12H MUGELLO and Michelin 12H SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS have so far confirmed Conrad Tox Leveau, Martin Rump and Joshua Bednarski for its No.921 car.

HRT Performance is third overall in 992 and leads 992 AM with its No.928, which will be shared by Steven Gambrell, Igor Sorokin, Jonathan Kearney and James Kellett. The team also enters its No.930 Porsche for Gregg Gorski, Marcus Graichen, JM Littman and Gilles Thiers, and the QMMF by HRT car of Abdulla Ali Al Khelaifi, Jassim Al-Thani, Faesal Al Yafei, Ahmed Al-Emadi and Julian Hanses.

Reigning 992 Champions RPM Racing, fourth in the standings, will be represented by Tracy Krohn, Niclas Jönsson, Philip Hamprecht and Patrick Huisman. Seblajoux Racing enters two Porsches, the No.888 will be raced by team owner Sebastien Lajoux, Stephane Perrin, Anthony Vince, Ralph Poppelaars and Wouter Boerekamps, while the No.910 so far has Lionel Amrouche, Rhys Lloyd and Yannick Mettler confirmed. 

Brothers Jonas and Magnus Holmgaard will be partnered by Lutz Obermann, Erik Behrens and Hjelte Hoffner in the Holmgaard Motorsport entry, and there is more family competition from Van Berlo Motorsport by CP Motorsport, its Porsche featuring brothers Glenn and Kay van Berlo, their father Marcel and Bart van Helden.

Still the entries continue with the GTX, GT4 and TCE-TCX classes. In the world of GT4, there will be a battle between CP Motorsport’s BMW M4 GT4 (G82) and Team Sorg Rennsport’s Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport. 

Driving the BMW will be Daaf Steentjes, Patrick Grootscholten, Pieter-Jan Lefevere, Semo Keric and Johan de Rouw. The line-up for the Porsche 718 is Chara Mansur, Benito Tagle, Norbert Dekker and one yet-to-be-confirmed team-mate. 

The action in TCE-TCX is set to be engaging with seven cars expected on the grid. Championship leaders Not Only Motorsport will field a strengthened line-up, with Nathan Huet and Giacomo Pollini joining regular drivers Filippo Tornaghi and Gino Rocchio in the Ligier JS2 R.

Title rivals asBest Racing will challenge with the No.102 SEAT Leon Cup Racer of Rafal Gieras, Pia Ohlsson, Junichi Umemoto and Samuel Hsieh. The team will also bring its TCE-TCX class Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS (982) with Steven Tierlinck and Seth Brown so far confirmed. 

Two more Cupra TCR DSG cars will be present, Stanco&Tanner Motorsport have named Armando, Dario and Luigi Stanco alongside Christian Jakob and Stefan Tanner, while CP Motorsport’s Cupra will feature Peter Terlouw, Matthijs Terlouw, Robin Heijerman and Karel Neleman. 

THRW Honda Racing will make its European Series debut with two Honda Civic Type R (FL5) racers, each featuring a four driver line-up. The No.123 car will be piloted by Calvin Tam, Corey Taguchi, Christina Hernandez and Weston Walter, while the sister No.124 Honda will feature Todd Chiappino, Lawrence Hwang, Jeremy Lucas and Scott Nicol.

French manufacturer Vortex V8 closes out the Michelin 24H BARCELONA entry list as the sole contender in the GTX class with Philippe Bonnel, Julien Boillot, Thierry Chkondali, Marc Girard and Michel Sallenbach driving the No.701 Vortex 2.0.

Following CR Track Days at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Wednesday, 16 September, and Thursday, 17 September, final practice follows on Friday, 18 September, ahead of qualifying at 16.05 local time and then night practice. The race will begin at 12.00 local time on Saturday, 19 September, and supporting race action will come from Radical Cup Europe.
