…while new wife Michela lines up the first – of what turns out to be several – accomplishments for the Romanian-Italian team in Mugello. If you’re wondering, the sign reads “Hurrah! Bridal couple of the year!”
The new Signore and Signora Broggi celebrate their wedding, which took place on the Monday before the 2023 Hankook 12H MUGELLO, on the event’s starting grid. That’s right. Their honeymoon was at the racetrack! Well, the couple have been attending 24H SERIES events together since 2017.
It’s traditional for the newlyweds to cut the cake as their first activity together as husband and wife. We did ask if the happy couple also wanted to replicate their first dance on the starting grid, but it turns out Fabrizio’s dance moves are quite tricky to pull off in his racing boots!
Alongside Sabino and Michela’s bridal couple award, Willi Motorsport by Ebimotors went on to collect the 992-class win and radiolemans.com’s ‘Spirit of the Race’ award at the end of a very memorable 12-hour event on home turf.
