Radiolemans.com set to provide commentary for Hankook 24H PORTIMAO

The long-time 24H SERIES partner will provide live coverage of next weekend’s 24-hour endurance event in Portugal.

Long-time 24H SERIES partner radiolemans.com will provide commentary for next weekend’s Hankook 24H PORTIMAO as part of the live coverage provided via our official YouTube channel.

Parent company Radio Show Ltd has been a pillar of every round of the 24H SERIES powered by Hankook since the season-opening Hankook 24H DUBAI in 2012, and also played a significant role at the recent ESPORTS 12H MONZA: regular 24H SERIES columnist Joe Bradley team with fellow RSL heavy-hitters Nick Daman and Ben Constanduros actually competed at the event in a Team RSL Powered by MOFO-entered Mercedes-AMG GT3, and intermittently provided commentary alongside Radio Show Ltd’s John Hindhaugh – A voice of endurance racing – Bruce Jones, and Jonny Palmer.

Like the iRacing event, and with social distancing regulations still in effect at the Autódromo do Algarve, commentary and analysis by the radiolemans.com crew will be provided remotely for this year’s Hankook 24H PORTIMAO as part of the live coverage throughout the weekend.

Following a two-hour Free Practice session, live coverage gets underway with the first of two 45-minute qualifying sessions on Friday 12th. The TCE division begins at 17.15 hrs CEST, while the ‘GT’ cars take to the track at 18.15 hrs. On Saturday 13th, live coverage continues as the Start Grid forms from 11.00 hrs onwards (sorry Nick Daman, no grid walk!) ahead of the green flag at 12.00 hrs.

With one week left until go-time, teams and drivers continue to register for the fourth annual Hankook 24H PORTIMAO, a major confidence boost for the 24H SERIES. Having already registered an entry, Hankook 24H DUBAI TCE winner AC Motorsport has confirmed that team stalwart Stéphane Perrin, formerly of both Larrousse and Ligier in Formula 1, will drive the team’s Audi RS3 LMS alongside compatriots Michael Blanchemain and Christophe Hamon, and Sweden’s Hannes Morin.

Former series class winner Henry Littig will team with father-son trio Ivo, Rik and Luc Breukers in the Red Camel-Jordans.nl CUPRA TCR, while Christoph Lenz and Jérôme Ogay have now joined former TCR-class champions Antti Buri and Kari-Pekka Laaksonen in the first of two Autorama Motorsport by Wolf-Power Racing-entered Volkswagen Golf GTIs.

Interestingly, Autódromo do Algarve CEO Paulo Pinheiro will drive alongside Miguel Ferreira and Miguel Praia in the Savora Racing Team-entered Porsche Cayman GT4 CS, meaning the Portuguese trio will now go head-to-head with the circuit’s in-house Parkalgar Racing Team for GT4 honours, the latter of which will field a Mercedes-AMG GT4 for Jose Monroy, Roger Green, and Joaquim Penteado.

At the sharp end of the grid, former Hankook 24H DUBAI class winner Indy Dontje will now join father-son duo Bryce and Russell Ward and Mercedes factory driver Philip Ellis in the HTP Winward Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT3, which will contend with two Porsche 911 GT3 R entries from Herberth Motorsport. Be sure to also keep an eye on Mühlner Motorsport, the latest entry in the ‘991’ class.
