Twin entries have been received from French squad SebLajoux Racing and the cosmopolitan feel continues with further registrations from Belgium’s Muhlner Motorsport, Spain’s Escuderia Faraon, Lithuania’s Porsche Baltic, Germany’s RPM Racing and Danish squad Holmgaard Motorsport.
Following a successful Michelin 24H SERIES debut in the Middle East Trophy, winning the GTX class title, 111 Racing now tackles the European season with its IRC GT car. Fierce competition comes in Mugello from a pair of Vortex 2.0 racers fielded by the factory Vortex V8 squad from France.
Six entries are confirmed in the GT4 class, where British teams Venture Engineering and CWS Engineering will enter a Mercedes-AMG GT4 and Ginetta G56 GT4 respectively, while Italy’s PB Racing will compete on home ground with its Lotus Emira GT4.
Hofor Racing by Bonk Motorsport will field a pair of BMW M4 GT4 EVO (G82) cars and there will also be two Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsports in the Michelin 12H MUGELLO, one from Germany’s SRS Team Sorg Rennsport and the other from compatriot team CCS Racing. Additionally, there is a BMW M3 E46 in the TCE-TCX class from British team J-Mec Engineering.
Following on from two Creventic Track Days at Mugello on Wednesday, 19 March, and Thursday, 20 March, free practice and qualifying for the season curtain-raiser will take place on Friday, 21 March, with the first part of the Michelin 12H MUGELLO underway at 11.30 local time on Saturday, 22 March. The concluding portion of the race will start at 09.30 local time on Sunday, 23 March.
