Gennep, Netherlands (12 September 2025):
Only a fortnight remains until the title-deciding fifth and final round of the 2025 Michelin 24H SERIES European Series, the blue riband Michelin 24H BARCELONA, and the grid is rapidly taking shape with a minimum of 34 cars expected to participate.

Leaders of the overall GT3 standings and GT3 PRO-AM class Proton Huber Competition, who won the Michelin 12H Paul RICARD last time out, are unsurprisingly confirmed with the No.73 Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) which holds a slim six point lead in the outright championship.

Chief rivals for the overall title, Red Ant Racing and Scuderia Praha, will be challenging with their Mercedes-AMG GT3 and Ferrari 296 GT3 respectively and there are just two points between those squads with 60 points up-for-grabs – the leader at mid-distance will score 20 points, the eventual winner will take 40. Praha, meanwhile, is second in PRO-AM and just four points adrift of the top.

Two more Ferrari 296 GT3 entries are on the entry, the No.81 Era Motorsport car – which is fourth in the overall championship and third in the PRO-AM class – and also a welcome return for the Into Africa by Dragon Racing Ferrari.

Four Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II cars will be in action at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, with series regulars Juta Racing, HAAS RT and Continental Racing by Simpson Motorsport joined by last year’s runner-up squad in Barcelona, Sainteloc Junior Team.

Viper Niza Racing brings its trusty Mercedes-AMG GT3, as will fellow GT3 AM front-runner HOFOR Racing plus the TFT Racing squad and GetSpeed Performance, while the homegrown E2P Racing team enters its Aston Martin Vantage GT3.

Championship leaders in the 992 class for Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) cars, Red Camel-Jordans.nl, will arrive in Barcelona fresh from a runner-up finish in last weekend’s Michelin 992 Endurance Cup powered by Porsche Motorsport at Spa-Francorchamps.

Their main competition RPM Racing, who also lead the 992-AM sub-division, are ready to battle and the same is true for the third placed team in the main 992 standings, Holmgaard Motorsport. HRT Performance, Muhlner Motorsport, SebLajoux Racing and Ajith Kumar Racing by Red Ant are on the entry as is GP Racing Team and Spanish outfit Escuderia Faraon.

Venture, which is unassailable in the GT4 class, will be seeking its fourth victory of the campaign with the No.421 Mercedes-AMG GT4 and another Mercedes will be campaigned in GT4 in Barcelona by Spain’s very own NM Racing. There will be class competition for both from Team Sorg Rennsport’s Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport.

In the GTX class, meanwhile, the Vortex V8 squad will bring two Vortex 2.0 cars which will be battling each other for victory in the Michelin 24H BARCELONA. So far in this year’s Michelin 24H SERIES European Series, the Vortex team as a whole has won three of the four races so far contested.

Pleasingly, the TCE-TCX class will be back for the season finale and with a very healthy five-car entry. AsBest Racing will field both its Cupra TCR DSG and its Seat Leon Cup Racer, with J-Mec Engineering returning to action with its BMW M3 (E46). Additionally, the THRW Honda Racing squad will make its debut in the Michelin 24H SERIES with a pair of Honda Civic Type R (FL5) entries.

Following two Creventic Track Days on Wednesday, 24 September, and Thursday, 25 September, additional testing and free practice will follow in Barcelona on Friday, 26 September. Qualifying will be split into three sessions for the 992, GTX, GT4 and TCE teams, and three further sessions for the GT3 cars. Qualifying will begin at 16.30 local time and there will be night practice at 20.00.

On Saturday, 27 September, this year’s Michelin 24H SERIES European Series finale, the twice-round-the-clock Michelin 24H BARCELONA, will get underway at 12.00 local time. Qualifying and racing will be streamed live through Creventic Motorsports TV, which can be found on YouTube as well as through the championship’s official website www.24hseries.com
