Gennep, Netherlands (Friday, 11 April 2025):
There is only one week to go until the drivers and teams of the Michelin 24H SERIES European Series reconvene for the second round of the season, the Michelin 12H SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS, where race fans will be in for a spectacular treat with a first class line-up of competitors filling the near 40-car entry.

Taking place over the weekend 19/20 April, race two of the European Series at the unmistakable Ardennes track looks set to be as memorable as ever with no fewer than 10 marques doing battle across the five main classes, with 39 cars currently listed.

In the headline GT3 class, Scuderia Praha – who won the race back-to-back in 2018 and 2019 – has confirmed it will field Josef Kral alongside father and son Miroslav and Matus Vyboh, plus Dennis Waszek in the No.56 Ferrari 296 GT3.

Fellow Ferrari 296 GT3 squad Era Motorsport, third in the standings and the highest placed team entered for Spa, will run the quartet which did so well at the Michelin 12H MUGELLO, Jake Hill, Ryan Dalziel, Dwight Merriman and Kyle Tilley. Pellin Racing has Lisa Clark, Kyle Marcelli and Felice Jelmini in its Ferrari 296 GT3 plus Paolo Ruberti and Terje Haugen confirmed in its Ferrari 488 GT3 EVO.

Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO squad HOFOR Racing, which deserved more from the opening event of the season, will enter husband and wife Alexander and Chantal Prinz as well as Chantal’s father Michael Kroll, and they will be joined by Torsten Kratz.

Also running the German marque will be Red Ant Racing, with brothers Ayrton and Yannick Redant teaming with Kobe de Breucker and Kenneth Heyer in its No.93 car, while Viper Niza Racing will enter its No.65 machine for Douglas Khoo, Dominic Ang and Melvin Moh. It’s worth remembering too, Mercedes-AMG was the victorious marque last year at Spa.

Porsche is represented in GT3 by Proton Huber Competition, with Klaus Bachler, Manuel Lauck and Jörg Dreisow sharing the No.73 Porsche 911 GT3 R (992). Notably, vastly experienced endurance racing team-mates Jonathan Hui and Chris Froggatt partner with overall Michelin 24H SERIES Middle East Trophy Champion Loek Hartog at the wheel of a Ziggo Sport Tempesta Racing Porsche 911.

HAAS RT brings a pair of Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II cars with Ameerh Naran and Tom Jackson partnering in the No.2 entry, while Xavier Knauf, Gregory Servais and Olivier Bertels will team-up in the squad’s sister No.21 car.

Also fielding Audi R8 power will be Juta Racing with Tim Müller, Nicola Michelon and Arunas Geciauskas, and also Continental Racing by Simpson Motorsport with the trio Vasily Vladykin, Andrey Solukovtsev and David Pogosyan.

Still the different car brands keep coming with ARC Bratislava, second in the GT3-AM class heading to Belgium, confirming father and son Miro and Adam Konopka in its Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO with Jiatong Liang and Andrzej Lewandowski.

E2P Racing will run Pablo Burguera, Antonio Sainero and Oliver Campos in its Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 EVO and Comtoyou Racing’s Aston Martin will be raced by Frédéric Jousset, Sebastián Álvarez and Sergio Sette Camara.

992

Current points leaders of the overall 992 class Red Camel-Jordans.nl welcome back Ivo Breukers to the driving seat at Spa, having frustratingly missed Mugello due to injury, and he will be partnered as always by sons Rik and Luc Breukers and Fabian Danz in their Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992).

Closest challengers in the points table after round one, and leaders of the 992-AM class, RPM Racing enter Tracy Krohn, Niclas Jönsson and Philip Hamprecht, while overall third placed team SebLajoux Racing fields the eponymous Sebastien Lajoux, Stephane Perrin and Paul Meijer.

Mühlner Motorsport brings two Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) cars to Spa-Francorchamps, the No.921 which challenged so well at Mugello will be raced by Martin Rump, Valters Zviedris and Julian Hanses while the No.918 has duo Marlon Menden and Benjamin Paque confirmed.

Bas Koeten Racing will also be busy with a pair of cars, running the Ajith Kumar Racing by BKR entry of Tamil actor Ajith Kumar, Mathieu Detry and Fabian Duffieux – fourth place in the overall 992 standings – and also the Van Berlo Motorsport by BKR Porsche of father and son Marcel and Glenn van Berlo, and Bart van Helden.

Holmgaard Motorsport enters brothers Magnus and Jonas Holmgaard, Martin Vedel Mortensen and Patrick Steen Rasmussen, 9und11 Racing has confirmed Georg Goder, Ralf Oehme, Tim Scheerbarth and Martin Schlüter, while Escuderia Faraon will run Padlo Bras Silvero, Pedro Miguel Lourinho Bras and Fernando Gonzalez Gonzalez.

GTX, GT4 and TCE-TCX

Vortex V8, which leads the GTX points standings with its No.702 Vortex 2.0 entry, has confirmed a changed line-up of Julien Boillot and Alexandre De Bernardinis in the car piloted in Mugello by team owners Arnaud and Olivier Gomez. In the sister No.701 car the driver trio is unchanged with Lionel Amrouche, Philippe Bonnel and Cyril Calmon taking on the challenge of Spa.

Darren Currie has a new team-mate in the 111 Racing entered IRC GT car, Danny Studdard stepping in for Grant Donaldson, and GTX also welcomes Belgian squad Speed Lover with Olivier Dons and Kurt Hensen piloting a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) fitted with the NLS (Nurburgring Langstrecken-Series) kit.

The battle in GT4 is again expected to be terrific, with leaders Venture fielding impressive Mugello class winners Matthew Higgins, Matthew George, Christopher Jones and Neville Jones in the No.421 Mercedes-AMG GT4.

Competition will come from Hamofa Motorsport’s BMW M4 GT4 EVO (G82), raced by Rob, Kris and Mark Verhoeven, and SRS Team Sorg Rennsport has entered a pair of Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport cars. The No.427 will be piloted by Thierry Chkondali, Michel Sallenbach and Marc Girard while the No.452 will be driven by Guy Stewart and Benito Tagle.

Entries in TCE-TCX come from asBest Racing, which is set to run Junichi Umemoto, Christian Ladurner and Pia Ohlsson in its Cupra TCR DSG which, of course, claimed the class title in the Michelin 24H SERIES Middle East Trophy at the start of the year, and the J-Mec engineering team which will run Kevin Clarke and James Collins in its BMW M3 E46.

The first opportunity for track time at Spa will come on Wednesday, 16 April, during a Creventic Track Day with a second such experience on Thursday, 17 April, before a special parade of race cars into Malmedy. Testing and practice follows on Friday, 18 April, with qualifying starting at 15.30 local.

Part one of the Michelin 12H SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS, which will run for a duration of five hours, is scheduled to commence at 12.50 local time on Saturday, 19 April, with part two – the remaining seven hours of action – launching on Sunday, 20 April, at 10.50 local time. All of the action will be LIVE at Creventic Motorsports TV on YouTube.
