Long-time Porsche customer E2P Racing will switch to a brand-new Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 EVO for its 2025 Michelin 24H SERIES campaign.

The 991 Teams’ champion of 2022 is set to contest all five European rounds of the 2025 Michelin 24H SERIES with Aston Martin’s latest generation Vantage GT3, and will do so for the first time at the Michelin 12H MUGELLO on 21-22-23 March. This marks the first time the Spanish team will compete in the 24H SERIES with something other than a Porsche 911.

“Its new times for E2P,” E2P Group CEO Javier Morcillo explained to CREVENTIC. “It’s new times for E2P, after a long time and a great experience with Porsche, we have made the change to Aston Martin. The [Vantage AMR GT3 EVO] looks fantastic, and Prodrive and Aston Martin Racing have designed it very well. We hope to have a great relation with them as we have had with Porsche and make the Vantage very successful.

“We’re extremely anxious to get to Mugello!”

Long-time teammates Antonio Sainero and Pablo Burguera (the latter of whom also secured 911 Drivers’ ‘Europe’ honours in 2022) are expected to continue their collaboration aboard the Aston Martin in 2024. Morcillo, who made his 24H SERIES debut at the 24H DUBAI back in [], has also been registered aboard the #90 Aston Martin, though it has not yet been confirmed whether the E2P team boss will contest all rounds.

PRO driver Álvaro Parente meanwhile is set to be replaced in the line-up by Kosta Kanaroglou, owing to a scheduling clash for the Portuguese former winner of the Bathurst 12 Hours.

Interestingly, the Michelin 12H MUGELLO will mark both the 24H SERIES and GT3 racing debut of Kanaroglou, a long-time competitor with E2P Racing in the Spanish GT Championship, the V de V Endurance Series, and Benelux’s Supercar Challenge.

“I am very confident that Pablo and Antonio will keep improving and doing a great job with the Aston Martin,” Morcillo continues. “We are very sad to not have Álvaro with us this year. He is one of the best drivers out there and will be missed by us.

“We hope that, together with Kosta Kanaroglou, we will do a good job and be competitive in GT3-AM. Kosta has raced with E2P since 2007, so we know him very well, and even though he has never raced GT3, we are sure he will be full of surprises in 2025!”

E2P Racing heads into the new season off the back of, arguably, its most combative season to-date in the 24H SERIES in 2024. A strong class podium first time out in Mugello last March was followed up by the Spanish team’s maiden GT3-AM victory in changeable conditions at Spa-Francorchamps. Another class podium followed soon after in Portimão, a performance that, but for a bizarre collision in the refueling area, might well have been repeated in Misano.

Despite gearbox issues causing significant delays at home in Barcelona, E2P Racing was still able to hold onto the runners-up spot in the GT3-AM Teams’ standings behind eventual class champion Saintéloc Junior Team.

The 11th edition of the Michelin 12H MUGELLO gets CREVENTIC’s European season underway on 21-22-23 March, with 12-hour events at Spa-Francorchamps (18-19-20 April), Misano (22-23 May), and Circuit Paul Ricard (4-5 July) before the Michelin 24H BARCELONA closes the 2025 season on 26-27-28 September.
