The first-ever 24H PROTOTYPE ENDURANCE SERIES powered by Hankook rounds will take place at Circuit Paul Ricard and Spa-Francorchamps, with GT3 teams now eligible to join Proto machines in race action

Following a successful first outing earlier this year with the Hankook 3X3H DUBAI, the first official round of the inaugural 24H PROTO SERIES powered by Hankook season is now less than a month away.

Teams have already signed up for both the Hankook 3X4H CIRCUIT PAUL RICARD on 18-19 August and the Hankook 2X6H SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS just two months later on 6-8 October, the initial phase of an exciting new series from 24H SERIES organisers CREVENTIC. But if GT3-affiliated outfits thought Proto teams would be having all the fun at Circuit Paul Ricard and the legendary Spa-Francorchamps, they’d be wrong, with select GT3 teams now eligible to compete in France and Belgium.

Effective today, A6-class cars will be invited to participate in the three 4-hour races at Circuit Paul Ricard, while A6, 991, SP2 and SPX-class machines can enter the two 6-hour races at Spa-Francorchamps. With five podium spots up for grabs across both weekends, GT3 teams vying for 24H SERIES title glory at the upcoming Hankook 24H PORTIMAO may find the first weekend an ideal opportunity for additional track experience. Similarly, the inaugural 24H PROTO SERIES powered by Hankook could prove helpful for GT3 teams looking to make a splash at the Hankook 24H COTA USA on 10-12 November and next year’s Hankook 24H DUBAI

Across the five-round 2017 season, teams will battle for points and overall class honours at Circuit Paul Ricard, Spa-Francorchamps and the stand-alone Hankook 3X3H COTA USA in November at the Circuit of the Americas, Texas. As the world’s first prototype-only endurance series for 12-hour racing, the much-heralded 24H PROTO SERIES welcomes gentlemen and semi-professional drivers alike to experience some of the finest FIA approved circuits on the planet, as well as the most capable – and fastest – prototype machinery available today. In terms of outright speed at the Hankook 3X3H DUBAI test race in January, the prototypes were the fastest machines to lap the 5.399km circuit since GP2 and A1GP visited the United Arab Emirates more than a decade ago.

Registration and race entry opportunities are still available for both the 2017 Hankook 3X4H CIRCUIT PAUL RICARD and the Hankook 2X6H SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS, further details of which can be found here:

Further information is also available regarding the 2018 24H PROTO ENDURANCE SERIES powered by Hankook season, which kicks off at the Hankook 2X6H DUBAI on 6-7 January, just one week before the 14th annual Hankook 24H DUBAI.
